ESG in Agriculture: Cross-Industry Elevator Lab Partnership Program is created to discover innovative technological solutions and is designed in partnership with an important Corporate client of Raiffeisen Romania from the agricultural segment – RodBun.
Your Benefits
Once selected to take part in this Partnership Program Track, as a fintech or an agritech company you will get the opportunity to work together with international leading banking mentors and experts in the field of agriculture on a proof-of-concept, in order to further develop your business solution. During the program, the jointly developed solution/product will be evaluated for a possible strategic long-term partnership with RBI Group. Find out more about the benefits:
Pilot project
To develop your product further we test it in the real-life banking environment (access to the RBI API Marketplace & real clients) in the course of a pilot project with the most promising startups or agritech companies.
Support of experienced mentors
Our mentors for this Program come from a wide range of business areas within RBI Group, as well as from the area of agriculture in Rodbun, and are top experts in their fields. They support startup and agritech expansion by sharing their expertise, giving strategic support and providing critical feedback. Additionally, external mentors are contributing with their specific know-how.
Dedicated PoC Fund
The pilot projects are funded by a dedicated Proof of Concept fund. In addition, we cover travel and accommodation (flight & hotel) for up to two people per fintech
What we are looking for
The program is open to startups with proven innovative products and technologies. Your solution/technology must be active in one of the following areas:
ESG in Agriculture
- Innovative ways/ solutions to develop more resilient crops to tackle increasing climate change matters (considering the new EU Regulations related to subsidies)
- Blockchain, IOT, ML solutions/ tools for self-audit of the CO2 profiling and automated issuing of the Green Certificates (GC) and transforming GC into subsidies
- Technologies that experiment with "end-of-life“ solutions/ alternatives for exploiting, transforming, or reducing farm waste
- Knowledge-sharing platforms for farmers with Data Collection features on ESG impact (CO2 footprint) to acquire and encourage customers to apply/ use nonconventional direct marketing approaches and Beyond Banking co-services.

Timeline
Before starting to work on your PoC with our experts, an internal selection process aims to identify the startups with the biggest potential. Selected startups – identified in the course of the local Finalist Ceremony – will work on a proof-of concept with banking experts in Romania alongside agricultural experts from our corporate partner Rodbun, which will be presented at the international Demo Day taking place in September 2022. After a successful completion of the program, startups have the chance to be evaluated for a possible strategic long-term partnership with RBI Group.

Elevator Lab Jury
Acts as the highest selection committee during the overall program and in the course of the Finalist Day the finalists will be rated by the jury consisting of Board Members and Managers from Raiffeisen Bank Romania, Raiffeisen Bank International and Rodbun.
